Biography
Susan Kihika is a lawyer, daughter to veteran politician the late Kimani Kihika. She hails from the Nakuru County. Her Father born in 1930 worked with Moi throughout his career. She is among 41 children her Father sired. She’s sixth child of the second wife Alice born in 1974.
Education
She attended Busara Forest View Academy in Nyahururu for her early basic education. Susan then joined Bishop Gatimu Ngandu Girls High School in Nyeri. She was then taken abroad in the United States of America in 1992 for higher learning in University of North Texas. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in political science.
Then later in 2006, she joined southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas graduating with degree in law.
Career
The current politician worked in public service upon graduating from the law school. Then later opened her law firm The Susan Kihika Firm in Dallas, Texas. She stayed and worked in the USA for 20 years before coming back home.
She joined politics in 2013 to contest for parliamentary seat in Bahati constituency but lost. Then contested for Nakuru county speaker position and won. She became the first woman to hold the position.
The outgoing lady won the Nakuru county senatorial position again being the first woman to do so.
