The county executive of government has had tough moments explaining to the electorates on what it has achieved. most residents believe there’s almost nothing to show off on the ground.
But speaking on the NTV a couple of days ago, the governor highlighted major milestone in various sectors namely; health, road network, education, tourism, agriculture and industrialization.
He siad, “the ECD teachers’ salaries had not been budgeted for when we came into the office, but now we have accomplished.”
The governor elaborated that the major achievement in the first financial year in office was making sure there’s financial prudence. He also explained on the tough war against corruption and public wastage. “A lot of cash have been saved due to curbing corruption and wastage in my county government”.he said.
The county CEO gave a vivid explanation on the road network coverage in the last financial year. Over 200km of roads have been repaired. sh. 1B has been set aside to construct tarmac along musikoma road. “currently misikhu–brigidier road is at 10km mark hopefully by the end of 2019 we will have covered the entire 42km.”he said.
“We have done tremendously well in education especially in bursary allocation to needy cases. we increased the allocation after getting funds from the reduced recurrent expenditure by one billion shillings.” the Gorvoner said.
