The first Kenyan Deputy President Dr. William Ruto has found himself between two rocks. The follow out with the President has not been easy for him. His lieutenants are being weakened every day. It can clearly be seen even their energy is on the verge of exhaustion. He has in the past openly stated how the deep state is undermining and fighting his pursuit for 2022 statehouse journey.
During the burial of the late Kipyegon Kenei where Ruto said the DCI’s office and other government security organs were being used to block his dream. He has publicly stated how the dynasties are planning for his downfall. So far his allies are being shown the exit door from key positions in the Senate and thereafter it whip will land in the National assembly.
Raila Odinga tasked to revive the economy.
According to the star newspaper on May 19th 2020, the former Prime Minister has been tasked to rescue the ailing economy. The Dp is still on the sidelines yet his opponent have been given the key ministries namely; trade, agriculture and finance to coordinate. Throughout this Covid-19 period the President’s Principal assistant has not gotten a chance to take control. The pressure is massive on hi, to quit but he has adamantly stated the contrary opinion. He’s staying put.

The secret Saturday meeting.
The Saturday meeting at his residential home in Karen sent a signal that led to him having a second thought for 2022 race. Most of his key allies from Mt. Kenya failed to turn up. Notable individuals were Gatundu south Mp Moses Kuria and his Kikuyu counterpart Kimani Ichungwa. One of the members from North rift who attended revealed that the Dp is contemplating supporting ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi for statehouse race. He told his key allies that the conditions are not favourable for him to position himself for the top seat with the current laws. He also urged them to support BBI because that’s the only avenue to create extra positions. Now he cannot be a deputy for more than two terms, but with the prime minister and presidents positions it will be easier to bargain.

Mudavadi’s disowns merger with Jubilee.
The rumors raised anxiety in the ANC circles leading to the party leader’s announcing to disown Jubilee merger. Mr. Musalia denounced the merger yesterday when he had earlier on hinted on working with the President. After the removal of Murkomen and Susan Kihika from the senate leadership, Kapseret Mp openly dennonced the President’s move and cautioned that they will rather support Raila Odinga and not Baringo Senator Gideon Moi. Politics is very dynamic. A day in politics is very long enough to influence an outcome. We are yet to see strange scenarios and mergers as we head to the tail end of the 2022 elections.
