The nation is struggling to combat the spread of COVID-19 pandemic. The ministry of health under the Cs Mutahi Kagwe has given stringent measures for all Kenyans to adhere to reduce the spread but unfortunately a sizeable population is not keen to follow. The worst category is the politicians who have violated the social distancing directives by holding informal meeting.
President Kenyatta has been on the forefront rallying Kenyans to follow the MOH directives to eliminate the spread. Unfortunately, his son Jaba Kenyatta on a tour to the coast violated the measures set. Speaking during interview on NTV the angry president was surprised by the behavior of the son who walked out of the house for an outing with the girlfriend in Mombasa town.

He said Jaba had visited the Coast with his grandmother Mama Ngina Kenyatta when the cessation orders were announced prompting the duo to continue staying at the coast. President Kenyatta wondered how the son will cope if he infects his grandmother with Covid-19. “Without hesitation I directed him to self-quarantine for 14 days away from the grandmother within the same premise”, the frustrated President said. He urged Kenyans not to be complacent, thus take the measures with seriousness it deserves.
Grandchild named after Uhuru
Jomo Kenyatta and his wife Fiona have been blessed with a baby boy, named after his grandfather, Uhuru. The baby was delivered on May 27, 2020 at a Nairobi Hospital. This is their second born child after the first born daughter who was delivered in 2017.

Tests like these are taking place much quicker than would normally be the case, and some are using new approaches to vaccines. It follows that there are no guarantees everything will go smoothly.
But even if these – or any other tests – do prove successful, it’s not expected that manufacturers will be able to produce a mass-produced vaccine until the second half of 2021.
Remember, there are four coronaviruses that already circulate in human beings. They cause the common cold, and we don’t have vaccines for any of them.
