The wrangles in the ruling party have escalated further after the names of the National Management committee were gazzeted by the secretary General Rafael Tuju. A section of the Rift Valley and Mt. Kenya politicians have taken the war to the President’s doorstep. Through the social media platform the legislators has taken the onslaught to the statehouse terming the president’s move are betrayal. Spearheading the onslaught in defence of the Deputy President is the Gatundu Mp Moses Kuria in Mt. Kenya and Senator Kipchumba Murkomen in the Rift Valley.
Kiharu Mp Ndindi Nyoro, who has been equally a fierce defender of the Dr. William Ruto has called upon the President to resign if he cannot take care of the Kenyan citizens. He said that the time for President Uhuru Kenyatta as Mt. Kenya Kingpin elapsed. “Whether tyrants and dictators like it or not, Moses Kuria is the incontestable Mt. Kenya Spokesperson and Deputy President from 2022. If dynasties want power, or cling to power, the y can use KPLC power or battery power. We are Africans and Africa is our business”, the vocal Mp Ndindi Nyoro wrote on his Twitter handle.
The Kiharu legislator also said, “BBI is a wicked attempt by dynasties to amend the constitution by limiting the sovereign power of the Kenyan people; to create tribal positions for Raila & 2 multi-billionaire families & remove term limits for stealing Governors”.
Earlier on, Gatundu Mp Moses Kuria, accused the Head of state and questioned why he was ignoring his Principal assistant who could have been vital in decision making. The Deputy President has been absent in the limelight since the first case of Covid-19 was announced in Kenya. According to Moses Kuria, the Dp could have been very essential in advising the President to make right decisions during this trying times.
