All children from public schools will now have their lessons broadcast on TV, radio and YouTube after they were ordered to stay at home following the corona virus pandemic. The medical Professor said that lessons for over 15 million children will commence on 23rd march, 2020. The much embraced e-learning will see most learners engage again with academic affairs after travelling home early this week.

The CS is adamant the program will go on despite the social media backlash from Netizens. Learners are advised to have a radio, computer or television essential for learning to take place. Kenya Broadcasting Corperation(KBC) will be engaged to offer the services. The ministry will also broadcast through Radio Taifa and English service.

The lessons on radio will run from 10am to 11am for Swahili and 9:15am to 12pm for English service. Again 2pm to 4pm. The lessons will also be broadcast on Iftini FM and Transworld in Garissa, Mandera and Wajir. For lessons on television, the ministry will be broadcasting lessons on Edu Channel which is available on the Signet free-to-air channel.

Lessons will also be live-streamed on You Tube channel and recorded for future use. The government has been insisting on enhancement of digital content in schools in past. This will give it the opportunity to examine its effectiveness in teaching and learning process.
