Kenyans lights up Zambian Super league

Three kenya national team players won the Zambian super league with Nkana FC on Sunday. They include Harun Shakava, Duncan Otieno and Duke Abuya. The former Vihiga Boys High school and EX- Gormiah Defender Huran Shakava captained the dominant Kenya Preamier league side Gormiah for a couple of years before signing for Nkana FC. Duke Abuya who previously played for Kariobangi sharks and former AFC leopards’ player Duncan Otieno also joined Shakava at Levi Mwanawasa stadium to receive their medals. Mr. Otieno is a former Chavakali Boys High school student, mentored by the current Machakos Principal Kahi Indimuli.

Nkana FC has won a record of 13 league titles. The just concluded season saw Forest Rangers and Zanaco finishing in positions 2 and 3 respectively. The two will get a chance to represent Zambia in the African Champions league the coming season.

Musa Muhammed could not link up with the rest due to travel restrictions as a result of Covid-19 pandemic. He’s another Kenyan who has played for Nkana FC for sometime now. He left Zambia after Nkana FC 1-0 victory against Buildcon to attend to birth of his child.
Nkana still has other East Africa internationals like Shafik Bakaki, Moses Nyondo among others. Huran Shakava has now won four titles. The first three with kenya’s Gormiah and the now the latest with Nkana FC.
