Former Vihiga MP MR Yusuf Chanzu has been exposed to more frustrations after Mkombozi Chanzu Ingidi Friends secondary school community, board, and teachers expressing a move to change the name of the institution to Friends Ingidi Secondary School.

The principal of the school, which was built during the tenure of the Former MP using Constituency Development Funds (CDF), MR Momes Koome has written a letter to all parents requesting a change in the institution’s name.
According to reliable sources, the principal, PTA, and Board of management are ready to make the move citing being sidelined by the current CDF office led by Hon Ernest Ogesi and other leaders.
“Chanzu is not a good example to students and the community at large, his name doesn’t need to appear in any institution’s brand,” Said one of the parents of the school.
How the legislature decided to name the school after himself is a question many are left with no answers since he used public resources to build it.
