Former MP and current Chairman of the Agricultural Finance Cooperation, Franklin Bett, has warned the Deputy president William Samoei Ruto against fighting the ‘Deep State’ and ‘System’. Speaking to the Nation Newspaper, Mr Bett opined that: “When you fall out with the Head of State, the ramifications are so enormous. The ‘system’ makes it its business to deal with you. Friends and business associates drift away from you in droves as if you have leprosy”.

“When I see my good friend Ruto talk like he’s doing, I wonder what he’s trying to do. These are not people you want to fight, you need their support to succeed,” he added. The real battle will be witnessed when the BBI report is tabled for possible referendum.
