As the nation is trying to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic, politics still has not been set aside in the ruling party. The two Jubilee factions’ kieleweke and tangatanga continue to smear mud to one another day in day out. President Uhuru Kenyatta’s patience hit the dead end against the Dp loyalists in the senate.
The challenges facing the Dp escalated when the war between him and the party leader President Uhuru Kenyatta continued. They both are seeking to control the Jubilee Party Organs. This was reignited following the proposed changes to one of the top decision making organs-National Management Committee. This again followed the ouster of senate majority leader Kipchumba Murkomen and chief Whip senator Susan Kihika from leadership positions in the senate.
The secretary general of the Jubilee party Raphael Tuju has summoned the five nominated senators who failed to attend the statehouse PG meeting. So far only two have publicly apologized to the party leader and request for pardon.
The deputy President called the former majority leader after he was thrown out. This was the Deputy President message and I quote, “Every great person must go through fire, I and the president were taken to Haque. We were facing ICC at the same elections, terrorism in the country and “Maandamano” from the opposition”, the Dp stated. The Elgeyo Marakwet Senator quoted the book of John 14:1..Do not let your hearts be troubled. Have faith in God and faith in Me(Jesus).
