Bahati Member of Parliament Kimani Ngunjiri’s Family was thrown into deep mourning on 1st march 2021 after the untimely demise of their son Athur Kinayanjui Kimani. The late passed on while undergoing treatment at Agakhan University Hospital in Mombasa. The sad news was announced by the Bahati Mp himself on that fateful day.
During the burial ceremony today that was attended by the Deputy President William Ruto, there was a somber mood as Mp breaks down in tears while thanking the DP. He thanked the DP during his speech but could not finish because he was overwhelmed by with emotions. Before the brother took over, he said that the Dp has stood with him during this difficult moment since he lost the son. The burial ceremony was carried out at ASK show grounds in Nakuru County.
The late passed on following months of illness and hospital admissions for several respiratory illnesses. The family explained that the late fell ill last year. There was a plan to transfer him to overseas for specialized treatment but the situation worsened. A good number of leaders attended the burial especially those from the Tangatanga political wing. Each one of them eulogized the late in a special way. Notable attendees were Gatundu Mp Moses Kuria, Kikuyu Mp Kimani Ichung’wa, Nakuru senator Susan Kihika among others.
The family had made posters to seek appeal for financial support to raise funds for medical bill that had accrued to sh. 6m. Molo Mp Kimani Kuria eulogized the deceased terming him as a man of the people. He said AK was a young man full of health and life. He couldn’t imagine he had passed on that soon. The legislator remembered the great moments he had spent with the late together with his sisters and brothers in Nakuru.
