The Deputy President Proponents woke up excited after the national newspaper Daily Nation published the appointment of the Dr. William Ruto as the global governance body. The body is an NGO which deals with governance and civil society. The Dp was elected to represent Africa in the steering committee.
According to the Daily Nation reports the organization has 78 countries with thousands of civil society organizations subscribe to the same. The elections ended in May 25 that saw the Kenyan Dp elected to join the committee.
The main objective of the organization is to promote inclusive government through civil participation, access to public information and innovation. The main office of the Non-governmental organization is based in Washington.
The president of the committee is Robin Hodess of Argentina. He leads the steering committee of 22 members divided among the government officials and civil society members. Dr. Ruto secured the opportunity by Kenya securing four points.

The NGO only pays allowances as packages and depends on expenses incurred on travel, accommodation and other upkeep expenditures. There’s no pay for virtual meetings. We remain to see if the second in command in Kenya will take up the role that demands a lot of travelling globally.
Back at home the Dp is going through thick and thin as the divisions in Jubilee escalates. The president is only remaining with two years to retire. He has taken on his Deputy by whipping out his lieutenants from the lucrative positions in both houses.
