USA Hockey has created FUN age appropriate dryland exercises that gives every player (ages 6-12 years old) what he or she needs from a developmental standpoint.  Use these drills for 30 minutes pre or post practice 1-2 times a week during the season.  These fun drills introduce the players to multi-directional movement skills, multi-directional speed, agility, balance, coordination, rhythm and special awareness.
The American Development Model (ADM) “decks” are training tools for America’s youth hockey coaches. The cards are provided as a turnkey solution, allowing coaches to show up at the rink, pull cards out of the deck, and run an off-ice training session.
The decks are color coded to key areas of physical development, so one card from each color group equals one off-ice training session. USA Hockey’s goal is to standardize training for youth players so they get complete and consistent development throughout the years, across America.
The project went through some growing pains, as the scope of standardizing a training protocol to maximize potential in youth athletes is not an easy task! The print job was complex, requiring some creativity to stay on track with the budgets and timeframe, while producing a durable product.
