Lot of 2 Sper Scientific 840012 Detachable Probe Sound Meters for Parts/Repair

Description

Up for sale is a lot of 2 Sper Scientific 840012 detachable probe sound meters for parts/repair.  One unit does have a serial cable coming out of the battery compartment.  We powered both units up with a 9V battery (not included).  The one with the serial cable turned on immediately when a battery was installed, but if we turned it off, it would not power up unless the battery was removed and reinstalled (and it would turn on immediately once a battery was installed again).  The other one seemed to power on/off normally.  Both units showed a reading in the 30-33 db range with no probe connected.  We are unable to test these units further as we do not have a compatible probe to connect to them.  Because of the issues with the one with the serial cable and the fact that both are not fully tested, we are listing them for parts or repair and they are being sold as-is with no returns accepted.
Cosmetically, both units do show signs of use and wear such as scratches and scuff marks and dirt/dust.  Both units are missing the battery cover, and one unit is missing the flip-out stand on the back/bottom.
