There is a sweetness and elegance to this Asian hanging scroll makes it special.
The scene depicts the time of the year when Summer is turning to Autumn.
Two green and yellow birds rest on a rather spartan green branch.  There are green acorns on the branches.
At the bottom of this image is a vine with red berries and small yellow leaves tinged with red.
The negative space of this scroll makes the simplicity of the painted image quite poignant.
The patterned yellow-gold frame is silk.
There is some creasing to this item, and there are some light spots across the paper.
This scroll measures 76" long by 17 1/2" wide (19 3/4" wide between the 2 ivory colored ends.
