CBC implementation takes a new twist as Sossion takes battle to the house.

The teachers unions and legislatures have attacked the government for changing the Curriculum without proper foundations and resources. The Competency based Curriculum (CBC) was rolled out a couple of years ago and posing serious challenges according the Union Officials and MPs. The Mps cited lack of capacity building and the main obstacle to its implementation.

According to Legislators, they believe it is not enough to construct buildings and yet there are no other resources like adequate informed human resources. They advised the government to take the curriculum to Universities and colleges so that graduates come out endowed with ideas on CBC. The same sentiments were echoed by the Kenya National Union of Teachers officials.

The legislator was flanked with his colleagues in the house namely; Hillary Kosgei and Joseph Limo according to Monday 7th February Daily Nation.

While on campaign trail in western Kenya, the Kenya Kwanza alliance led by the Deputy president William Ruto maintained their position that they will abolish the CBC once they take over government come August 9th this year. The FORD Kenya Party Leader Senator Wetangula told Luanda residents in Vaihiga County that the Alliance will do away with CBC immediately they take over power. The ministry of Education Officials have so far dismissed the politicians and cautioned them against politicking on serious issues pertaining the lives of Kenyan children.
