Elgeyo Marakwet Senator who’s also a majority leader in the senate took on his counterpart in the National Assembly Garissa Township Mp Aden Duale in a conversation that started from social media. Mr. Kipchumba Murkomen termed the National Assembly as the place of rubberstamping the executive’s directives.
The derby proceeded to the mainstream media on citizen TV on Monday 14, 2020 where the duo was invited. The angry Murkomen told Duale to live up with the spirit of the constitution by putting the executive in checks and balance.

In a rejoinder Mr. Duale said that the executive, legislature and judiciary were independent offices but complement each other. He added that his work to rally 349 members of the National assembly to support government agenda. “we are elected to legislate, represent and oversee,” the majority leader said.
On the other hand the Elgeyo Marakwet senator said the current National Assembly is the extension of the executive terming his colleague as a sycophant. The angry Duale reminded Murkomen the length of time he has served Kenyans and demanded that he withdraws the statement. The adamant show ended without reconciliation between the two once baddies.
