The highly hipped match between the London based club Chelsea and Manchester United FC that ended with a comfortable win in favour of Chelsea didn’t go down well with a section of fans of the Manchester club. The social media busted with innuendos, celebrations and hate messages across the globe.
This has led to the untimely demise of a Manchester united fanatic from Makueni County, Kenya. The detectives are investigating the incident in which a Man allegedly committed suicide at his lover’s single room house in Wote. Stephen Iso is among many Kenyans who have allegedly committed suicide because of soccer fanaticism.

The 32 year old Man watched the football match which was televised on KBC TV according to the deceased lover. She retired to bed leaving the boyfriend watching just after the match kicked off some minutes after 10pm. The lady told the police that she woke up at about 4 am on Monday morning, July 20, to find her boyfriend’s body hanging from the roof of the house.
According to her, they had not quarreled thus she couldn’t understand the cause of suicide. The man hanged himself using his own jacket. The woman was arrested by the officers for further investigation. The body of the deceased is currently at the Makueni Referral Hospital Mortuary.
The family of the late Stephen has come out to deny any link to perceived suicide of their loved one. They are calling upon the government to carry out thorough investigations to determine the real cause of his death.
